|    HELP NEEDED - Media Center Problems    |
|    18 Nov 08 06:12:58    |
From: azscorp@nowhere.com              I have an HP 7590 Multimedia PC. With Intel Dual Processor, 2GB RAM       Windows Media Center Edition w/SP3 + latest updates.       Conexant audio/video/FM card that came with the computer       I tried to install "Beyond TV" to get more file saving options but stopped it       3/4 the way through because I saw it was installing a ton of files to my       system. I un-installed it, removed all files, searched the registry for       anything that said "Beyond TV"        or "snapstream" and removed them. I wrote to Snapstream and they said       nothing in Beyond TV installation would interfere with Media Center, so it       wasn't their fault.       Media Center video and audio is all screwed up. They are running at maybe 10       times their correct speed. If I try to listen to a radio station the sound is       VERY fast and you can't understand it.       Can I re-install just Media Center without re-installing XP?       Does anyone have any ideas as to what happened and how to fix it?       Thanks       azscorp              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
