   I presume BIOS is recognizing your HDD and DVD. If so, I cannot think of any   
   likely cause for this problem other than defective hardware.   
      
   The only suggestion that MIGHT help (it's easy to do, doesn't take long and   
   worth a shot) is to go into BIOS and tell it to use the default setup. I'm   
   not familiar with your BIOS, but most have an option that suggests something   
   along this line. I've even seen a few refer to it as "safe" settings.   
      
   Failing that, and assuming your power supply isn't at fault (unlikely)... you   
   might want to contact Maplins and find out what's involved in getting a   
   replacement bundle.
