   If your HDD(s) are recognized by BIOS, then it would be best to boot   
   from your installation CD and reformat the HDD.  If memory serves me,   
   NT5 (Windows 2000) isn't upward compatible with Windows ME.  So   
   installing W2K over ME would be futile.  Reformatting the HDD and a   
   new install of W2K is indicated.
