   Does the fix involve a complete removal?  I seem to remember downloading such a   
   tool a long time ago, but I have no evidence of WGA on my machine and have   
   never been asked about updates.  I do install the malicious software removal   
   tool just about every time I crank up my machine because I see no reason not   
   to.  I haven't updated IE from 7.x, though.  I seem to remember reading   
   somewhere that IE8 is evil in some way.
