   BINGO! There are also a couple of other accounts containing only the icon for   
   some AOL crap. Killed those.

   Yes. Icons for totally separate applications. It's like somebody said "All   
   you guys, form two lines" and they did :-(

   No copies, all unique. Honest!   
      
   OK, what I'm going to do now is get rid of all the crap icons for installing   
   hardware that I returned etc. and then move all of the survivors to either my   
   account or the all users account. There are more icons on my desktop than the   
   all-users desktop, but that may be because I've deleted some previously. The   
   'all users' group shows up first. Is there any reason to choose one over the   
   other?
