Actually there seem to be different versions of the install-CDs - I
just checked out (using Virtual Box) two different flavours of XP Pro
CDs, one in English the other in German, both VLK CDs of what's
occasionally called "Student Edition" - can't say how old they are
though (what year/ SP level) as I didn't finish installation - both
pop up the dialog "Computer Name and _Administrator Password_" next
thing after the dialog asking for the license key, though entering a
password there is optional - the English install set is of unknown
origin, so I can't tell about any difference to the original CDs from
MS (re: nLite or similar) apart from one additional text file
containing a meanwhile obsolete VLK, the German one is the original
version for Students from a university over here, unmodified so far I
   can tell...

Having installed a good number of XPs myself, though from a limited
number of sources _not_ being specific manufacturer customized OEM
CDs, Hidden Partitions or nLite versions, I'd say from memory that
most showed the dialog mentioned above - from a security point of view
it wouldn't make much sense to NOT remind the installing person of the
administrator account and the need to set a password, but then again
experience tells that what makes sense isn't necessarily what's
   actually implemented...
