   Hi,

To avoid this kind of problem I run Acronis True Image Home.

That way I always have a full image of my drive on a backup drive that I
   plug into my computer.

I used to have to reformat and install a least twice a year and end up
reinstalling all my programs and the data is lost.

Now I am able to restore from the backup and I'm able to stay in business.

It took me a long time to learn that hard disk will always eventually fail
   for one reason or another.

On my last upgrade to version 12 of ATI I had trouble installing it but I
had backups to reinstall the earlier version which worked until I could
figure out and get the new version installed.

I recommend that you have a failure plan and stick to it even if you only
save the data files so that you can reinstall windows and your programs.

   Good luck

   Regards,
