   There are programs that can redefine partitions. I've never used them so I   
   can't address how they work or what they're capable of.

   Back in the "old days" (which I am more familiar with), what you'd have to do   
   is back up everything on both partitions, delete both partitions and create   
   the single larger desired partition.   
      
   This method still works, but it's a PITA.
