   Damn. Now, tried to use powercfg from the commandline as well?   
   As an example "powercfg /setactive Desktop will enable the "Desktop"   
   profile   
   "powercfg /hibernate on" should enable hibernation

   You will have to give full regkey permissions to the   
   HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Controls Folder\PowerCfg   
   key for non-admin users before you change the settings "as admin" to make   
   them work for everyone.
