   As said in a previous post My XP computer is acting up.   It is almost 8   
   years old, so it owes me nothing. With the latest W 8.1.1 upgrade that   
   system is now a useable system, so a new computer is not as distasteful   
   as it was.   
      
   The way it is going, I expect the XP system to fail with in the next year.   
      
   My question, If I buy a desktop, is there any reason I can not use a   
   small flat screen TV as a monitor for the CPU?   
      
   The advantages is it comes with speakers built in, so that is two less   
   units sitting on the computer desk. In my initial investigations it   
   appears that computer monitor don't always have speakers   
      
   It could then be used as a TV if needed.
