There is no such thing as       PC3000.              For an easy way to remember memory speeds, divide the "PC" number by 8.              Ie       PC4200 / 8 = 533 Mhz       PC3200 / 8 = 400 Mhz       PC2700 / 8 = 333 Mhz       PC2100 / 8 = 266 Mhz              That being said - your memory will always run as fast as the slowest       bank. IE a PC2100 dimm working with a PC 3200 dimm - both will run at 2100.              In your case it does not matter however. a 1.2 Ghz machine will have a       slower system bus than your memory can support anyway. The only problems       you *may* encounter are ram incompatibility. But by all means, give it a       shot.
