|    Quickly Loading the All Program Shortcut    |

XPost: alt.os.windows-xp, alt.windows-xp, microsoft.public.windowsxp.general       From: nehmo54@hotmail.com              Windows XP Home, 1.5 GB RAM                            When I click on Start > then mouseover All Programs, I get the list of       program shortcuts found it              C:\Documents and Settings\-user-\Start Menu\Programs              But sometimes on the mouseover, the system stalls for a few seconds       before the list displays. If I have gone to the All Programs recently,       it seem Windows already has the display ready, perhaps it's in prefetch,       ant it displays instantly.              So..              Why is it that sometimes there is a delay, and sometimes not? Is it       because of prefetch?              Is there any way to keep this little procedure rapid? Can I have the       Shortcut list always loaded in the background somehow?                     --        (||) Nehmo (||)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
