File "search" not "open" with left click

   HELP ARG,   
      
       When I left click a file folder the "search" window opens   
   The default is set and the mouse should open the file.   
   When I right click, the drop down window displays "search"   
   as the priority to be selected not "open".   
   Anyone know the trick?
