From: krell1215@NOSPAMyahoo.com              I'm running Windows XP Pro on an older laptop computer. In addtion to       a home wireless network that I have set up, I do a lot of cruising       around my home town to check out the various free wifi hotspots. I       have never had any problem connecting anywhere.              I am going to be going on vacation in a few weeks, and although there       are dozens of wifi hotspots around the city I will be going to, I'm       not too keen on lugging my laptop just to access these hotspots. The       hotel I'll be staying at doesn't have wifi, but it does have       high-speed ethernet ports.              I was considering taking my wireless router and hooking it up in my       hotel room so I could use my laptop without having to buy an ethernet       card. Has anyone tried this before when traveling? What possible       problems might there be in connecting to a hotel room's ethernet port       in this way?       -              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
