I have a friend who has an older computer with Windows ME installed. He   
   just learned that his ISP (Cox cable) is no longer supporting ME and so he   
   is unable to access the internet.   
      
   If he purchases a copy of XP, how difficult is it to install on his   
   machine? Neither of us are real geeks and just have enough knowledge to   
   get ourselves in trouble.   
      
   Can it be easily installed over ME or will it require a complete wiping of   
   the drive and starting fresh?   
      
   Thanks for any advice and help I can give this poor guy.
