|    Program not responding: End Program - sw    |
|    27 Jul 06 19:21:34    |
From: ple@ix.netcom.com              Hi all: Lately, when shutting down my computer running Winxp/home, the       shutdown routine halts and a window opens on the screen with a message that       says "This program is not responding", and that has a legend at the top       reading "End Program - sw" There's a button at the bottom of the window       that says "End Now" which, if clicked, causes the window to close and the       shutdown routine to resume and conclude normally. The computer has been       working properly for 2 years with no problems, and I haven't installed any       new software since long before this began to happen. Also use spybot,       adaware and nortonAV, so I'm pretty sure it's not a virus or other unwelcome       intruder(s). I did search at MS Knowledge Base for "End Program - sw", but       the phrase was not recognized and didn't get any hits. I would appreciate       any advice and suggestions regarding probable cause of phenomenon described       above and what I should do to get rid of it. Thanks for your replies!
