Simple question. WHY do you insist on using a piece of software
which any rational person can only describe as designed to let
you do the LEAST amount of file management possible with the
MOST effort possible, and hundreds of bugs to boot?

I have been using Windows for 15 years so I'm not going to tell
you to go Mac or Linux, I don't consider those practical
alternatives for a variety of reasons.

However, I have NEVER used Windows Explorer since it cane out in
   95. I used the old File Manager for a while (it was still in 95,
maybe later) but it was quite limited. I tried about a dozen
other file managers. There are HUNDREDS.

The best one IMO is from www.ghisler.com. You will not BELIEVE
   what it can do.

You can not terminate the "explorer" thread when running your
windows system, but you can sure as hell make sure to never run
the program. Same with IE/OE. It's almost impossible to remove
them, but that doesn't mean they should EVER be used for
ANYTHING other than reading .chm help files.

Or are you one of the guys who is going to complain that
milk is white and not blue yet continue drinking it while
bitching about it for the rest of your life?

I do not have a single piece of MS software installed on my
machines except for the OS's which it took me years to tweak to
the point where they misbehave no'mo'!

I would not install ANYTHING from MS if Gates himself gave me a
gold-plated personalized autographed CD of it!

I hope this helps you to get a clue.
