   Probably yes.  But be warned, having a dvd writer does not mean you can   
   watch dvd movies, you must also have some sort of dvd playing software   
   such as intervideo windvd or similar.  If you buy a boxed retail dvd   
   drive of any sort they usually come with some dvd player software bundle   
   but if you buy a cheaper OEM drive you do not get this software and   
   would be required to purchase some software.
