|    Fast boot?    |
|    17 Sep 06 13:12:02    |
From: Jamesthompson2002@hotmail.com              Would it be possible to read the system memory after windows has fully       booted and store that to say flash memory like a non-volatile pci memory       board and have a util simply reload the system memory with the stored on the       non-volitile board to quick boot. That is instead of reading all the boot       files and drivers from the hard drive everytime it boots. Kinda like putting       the system on standby with a memory dump to this non-volitile board, then       each time you shut down the system it re-dumps the memory contents to this       boot card. What say ye?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
