   You have to copy the file from the i386 directory on the XP CD to C:\.   
   The command is:   
   copy x:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\   
   where x is the drive letter of the CD drive. To find x, do a series of   
   directory commands until you find the CD drive:   
   dir d:   
   dir e:   
   dir f:   
   etc.
