Better to set Windows to download the available updates and ask for       permission to install them. A viable alternative is to ask the user for       permission to even download the update, particularly if the computer's       Internet connection is through dial-up.              Compare reviews of various Anti-Virus software packages including BOTH       the top line packages (trial versions often offered already installed in       brand name computers) and the downloadable ones that have "light"       versions for free and additional features for a few dozen dollars. Note       that SOME of the popular security suites are resource hogs that can       significantly slow the operation of computers.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
