   As relic stated, this could be more of a problem than a repair install   
   is going to fix.   
      
   If your system has more than 1 memory stick I would try running with   
   just 1 at a time.   
      
   Have you scanned your HD for errors whilst in safe mode?   
      
   Also you can open a command prompt and type chkdsk /r which will allow   
   the system to do a scan on next reboot.
