   I prefer to use Windows in a virtual machine.  That way, if it   
   craps out for some reason, I can just recopy the archived image   
   and start afresh.   
      
   I recommend VirtualBox for the average user.  You can use your distro's   
   open-source version, or you can go right to Oracle to get their   
   slightly better non-open-source version.  It may not have to power of   
   VMware, but it is easier to use, in my opinion.   
      
   Don't know about Virtual PC.  I want something that will run on a Linux   
   host, personally.
