From: wblinks@xs4all.nl              Hi,              I do not often (anymore) use my cdrom drive, but yesterday I wanted to       install a new prgm from CD and it didn't work. Looking into it, the       system was "Unable to load atapi.sys to memory", errorcode 39/              I have tried to overwrite atapi.sys with all version I could: no luck.       I have disabled the real time scanning in McAfee: without result.              Basically I am out of ideas. It functioned the last time I used it       (about 10 days ago) and the major changes to my system were a rather       big update from MS and an update from McAfee.              I have searched on the Internet for this problem, but it seems to be       me: not structural.              Anyone?              Willem.              (remove s from wblinks for email reply)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
