   That first IP is what you get (default) when DHCP does not assign an   
   address   
   (or it got' lost' on the way), Try a right-click on the network icon :   
   'repair'   
      
   Thanks a lot. At least this clarifies one point. In the end I could not see   
   my SSID and connected to a public SSID not secured.
