I had the computer assembled by a local shop. The CD I bought is what
they used to install Win XP Pro on that same computer. Once before I
had a cataclysmic crash which forced me to reinstall the entire Win XP
and every driver, program, etc., all over again on my machine.
Everything was fine that time. I didn't get this nonsense about an
invalid CD. The dang CD cost me about $130. The only reason I can
fathom as to its not being registered now is because of the half-assed
validation nonsense MS is now using when updating my box.
