By default, chkdsk (or Disk Properties -> Tools -> Check Now) looks       for file system errors *only*. To check the physical disk, run 'chkdsk /R'       (or check "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" in the GUI version).              Be warned, physical checks usually take a much longer time than jsut checking       the file system.              --       Trust me, would I lie to you...
