    Old as in it's from a Win 3.1 machine when 3.1 replaced DOS.   
    The jumpers are as they were set in the old computer --   
    I simply unplugged it and lifted it out. It's a Maxtor brand.   
    I put it into the external drive container -- a powered container   
   made to use regular hard drives. I plug it into a USB port   
   of my XP Pro machine and it is't recognized as even being there.
