None worked, but now it's moot !! :-(        I think I fried the drive.        I have two of these "boxes" which take a hard drive, provide a power       supply, and provide a USB connector. One of these is rated 5V, 1.5A       the other is 5V, 2.0 A.        Using the 1.5 Amp, I could hear the drive running, but my computer       never recognized "new hardware" so that I could use it.        The hard drive shows no ratings, so I swtched to the 2.0 Amp box ---       and apparently fried the drive.        It no longer runs in either box. So, I guess all is lost, and there       is now no way to salvage any of the contents.        Thanks again for the help.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
