   If the drive "Never becomes Ready", windows will not see it.   
   Wrong Jumpers, Bent pins, Weak power, Bad drive all can cause "Not Ready"

   Note: A previous Failure, may have caused the Device Manager to mark the drive   
   (enclosure) as "Unknown"   
      
   Open the Device Manager and look for Yellow (Unknown or malfunctioning) items.   
   Right-click and Remove them. Let Windows re-discover them
