   Most Acers have a recovery partition that can be used to restore the   
   computer to "new" condition. (Look in your Acer manual.) Did you trash   
   your recovery partition when you partitioned the disk?  If not, back up   
   your data to an external drive and restore the original configuration   
   and re-install the programs.   
      
   There's something to be said for buying an external drive and regularly   
   imaging your working drive...
