|    XPPro can't find USB hard drive --help!    |

XPost: alt.windows-xp               Finally, I've managed to rid myself of thr malware and fix all but       one thing (as far as I know!).        I cannot get the system to recognize an external USB hard drive.        I've tried from an existed booted system and in a new boot with       it in place.        I've tried 3 drives --- each get powered up and runs due to the       separate power source, but I can't find a way to get them recognized.       A "new hardware" search doesn't find them and they're not found at       boot-up. The USB ports are operaing.        The 3 IDE drives are from a Win 3.1 system, a Win 95 system and a Win       ME system so the formatting is probably FAT, maybe a FAT16 (or a       FAT32) and a FAT32.        Any help would be appreciated.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
