   I do at lot of upgrades and have found that on quite a number of XP   
   machines...IE8 has caused problems   
   In those cases I've uninstalled it and gone with IE7.   
      
   On most machines I work on...I typically install an alternative browser   
   such as Firefox, Google Chrome or Opera.   
      
   All are good browsers, none are perfect.
