     No! And I've not gotten any answers!   
    I told you exactly my problem. I have three IDE drives of different   
   ages from older versions of windows. I'm trying to use/read them as   
   USB drives. I have XP Pro with all updates to date.   
    The computer recognizes their presence but can't "install" them for   
   use. Apparently (though I can't prove it), I don't have the USB IDE   
   drivers needed.
