   I've had my Surfboard modem for 7 years. Cable.   
   The other day I was thinking that I could do with a spare just in case.   
   Those nice people at Virgin Media sent me a new one for free, the Superhub.   
   I told them that my Surfboard kept turning itself off. Ahem :-)   
   The new one has to be activated by Virgin Media, there is a freephone number   
   to call.   
      
   My question is: when the new modem is activated will the old one still work?
