I'm a Linux advocate. I use Linux Mint and Mandriva.
However Linux is lacking in a lot of hardware support when it
comes to TV capture devices and tuners. Linux is great for doing
mundane tasks that need stability like running servers. Linux
isn't good for playing games on a computer, yet. On the bright
side Android is based on Linux and does those things well even
if on mobile devices. Maybe some day Linux will have some killer
games and killer apps that will make it more popular. Right now
it's at about 1% of the home user market. I wish it was more.
