   I don't think you'll see the day that would happen.  One of the touted   
   strengths of Linux is that there are multiple UIs available and all   
   those distributions.  And while those are certainly strengths to a   
   miniscule part of the desktop market, to the broader desktop market   
   those are a real weakness.   
      
   Desktop Linux will remain mostly a hobbyist use, imo.
