Please help              It's common for manufacturers to install one of several different       wifi adapters in laptops. Unfortunately, as you have found, they       don't always provide the correct drivers on the CD or website.       To find out exactly which wifi chipset you have, right-click it       in Device Manager and choose Properties. Under the Details tab,       select Hardware IDs in the dropdown list and write down the       PCI\VEN information. You need the two 4-digit codes, one after       VEN_ and one after DEV_       Then go here and plug one of the numbers into the relevant field       and search. Try the DEV_ number in the Device search field       first:       http://www.pcidatabase.com/       If it lists more then one Vendor, then use the VEN_ number to       find which one of the results is relevant.       Once you know which device you actually have, and who made it,       you can go to the WiFi device manufacturers website and try and       find the correct driver there.       Alternatively, you might find the driver on the fujitsu site,       but as a download for another, but similar spec, laptop.       Good hunting.       --       Rob              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
