The first with a password       allows you to access the router set up. This can easily be recreated       by resetting the router to factory defaults. I believe everyone       including me thought you were talking about this password.              The other "password" is passed from the computer to the router when the       computer comes onto the lan. This is not a password like you use to log       into you email, but part of the LAN security. This is usually more that       8 numbers and is a random number. This should be written down.              If this is lost it probably will not be found by the programs being       discussed. If lost the best way to go would be to recreate it and then       go to each computer and enter the number when asked.              On my router I log in to the router, and in the set up enter the new       random number, the length and method is dependent on the router.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
