   No, he clearly asked about the WiFi password, not the router's admin   
   password. I have no idea why ANYONE assumed he meant the router's admin   
   password. That's a completely different animal.

   Yes, it's similar to any other password in that it's composed of any   
   combination of upper- or lowercase letters, numbers, symbols, etc., and it's   
   kept relatively secret. It can be all numbers and it can be generated   
   randomly, but such is usually not the case.

   The easiest way to recover it is to log into the router and view it there,   
   if the router allows that. If not, the easiest way to recover it is the   
   Nirsoft utility I mentioned twice in this thread already. There are   
   additional ways, but they probably aren't as easy. Resetting the router to   
   factory defaults is yet another way to overcome the issue, but it's a bit   
   drastic and wouldn't be my first choice. Beats me why others have suggested   
   that approach as anything other than a last resort.

   It's unclear what you might be referring to, (WPS, perhaps?), but it's   
   pretty obviously not the wireless password, which I believe is what the OP   
   was asking about.
