   LCD monitors typically display the manufacturer's logo and a "No Sync" message    
   when powered up this way.  If the front panel switch lights up when pushed,   
   but    
   you see nothing on the screen, the problem is probably internal.  If it's a   
   CRT monitor,   
   try adjusting the brightness control.
