   On checking it is 512MB, so perhaps not surprising that a modern web   
   browser might be a bit much for it.  Suspect it might be disk thrashing   
   a bit.  Memory is DDR but I did find a reasonably priced supplier.   
      
   Hard drive dying and the machine being likely 10 years old has basically   
   made the decision on what to do for me.
