   I doubt Amazon would do that, but it's not your problem. If you   
   bought if from one of their partners, Amazon should be made aware of   
   it.   
      
   Have you called Microsoft? Maybe it's a mistake and they will   
   register the software over the phone if you explain the situation to   
   them.
