   It seems that in US good deals on laptop include an OS most of the time,   
   it may be cheaper to buy a l/t with an OS even if you plan to wipe it.   
   Alternatively, reduce the partition of the HDD to a minimum and   
   dual-boot with a Linux distro. But steer away from Win8 - Win7 is a   
   better choice imo.
