I know I'm off topic but there are some savvy technical folks   
   around here.   
     I'm trying to set uo a new Win8 computer for my wife.   
    I've been using computers forever -- at least forever in   
   terms of computers -- mainframe and PCs.   
     But win8 has me totally baffled and confused --- I can't get   
   to anything!!!   
      Can't even find a way to copy from a flash drive into it.   
     As suggested, I downloaded "Classic Shell". It installed with,   
   presumable, an XP "shell".   
     I see no difference in what I see or what I can access.   
   No apparent change!   
     And th IE 8 won't permit the addition of a "home page"   
   --I programmed one for my wife which has a family photo   
   and links to her favorite sites.   
    I could rant on and on -- don't even know what to as--- basically I'd   
   like to "to" the computer -like directories.   
    I'm sorry for the rant --I know that probably it is what it is   
   and I'm stuck helpless.   
     Even to the dumb start -- having to enter a password just to   
   start!
