Nobody will do that for you - it's near impossible and definitely
impossible without knowing what 3rd-party software has been installed
   (and removed) over the years.

Most critical updates fix security holes in the OS.

You won't be able to tell which ones your system is susceptible to.

Do you ever open a web page (in any browser)?

If so, there are dozens of susceptible parts of the OS which
could be compromised, long before your AV solution gets anywhere
   near them.

Now that you have a system image, I would advise you install at
least all of the Critical updates. For the Important ones, take
the links to the online KB article if you are worried and decide
then but I would install *all* of those too without hesitation.

All I can tell you is that I look after several hundred PCs
and have never had an update 'kill' a system. However, all of
these systems have been kept up to date from day one. That might
   tell you something.

Only a tiny minority of folk have trouble with windows updates
but they (of course) post about it when they do. If everyone
else posted every time WU *didn't FU, then all of the rest of
usenet put together would become a tiny drop in the ocean of
happy ms update users. Not preaching, just trying to put
   things into perspective.
