|    Install woes    |

From: not.my.real@email.address              I tried installing XP on a new-to-me (Pentium 4-ish) machine, but despite       repeated attempts, using numerous sources (including my original no-service-       pack disk), I've yet to get it installed properly.              The main problem is, networking doesn't get installed. At all. Or at least,       not so I can tell.              (Also, local disk management fails to work, but I'm hoping that's a secondary       issue.)              I'm looking for some ideas as to where I should start troubleshooting. Or       perhaps a decent google search; my prodding has failed.              --       Biology is more like history than it is like physics.       You have to know the past to understand the present.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
