   It does not matter what SP level you install, networking and disk   
   management are normally installed and working properly.   
      
      
   If not, you more than likely have a hardware problem.   
      
      
   First, look at your motherboard. If there are bad capacitors, no sense   
   in going any further.   
      
      
   If the mobo looks ok, run the hard drive manufacturer's diagnostic and   
   also runs a RAM test.
