Anyone have any input on that.              A couple years ago I did a clean install of XP from the original       CD (no service packs) that came with the system. At the time, the       hardware was already 10 or so years old. It took all day and into       the night to install all the Service Packs -- 1, 2 & 3 -- with SP3       taking about 2/3 the time along with all the rebooting. There must be       two dozen or more. What a pain!              Anyway, I'd estimate, if you have a fast internet connection, doing just       the SP3 updates takes about 5 to 8 hours -- depends on how fast your       system is -- and how many reboots. Do it all at once. It's faster.              Stef              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
