From: jsowden@americansentry.net              I have about a dozen win boxes, some of which I am not using. I want to       back up the OS to a DVD on each one so I can reformat the drive and       possibly reinstall the OS later. I know MS locks the OS to the hardware       with a hdwe description code, so I intend to match the dvd to the computer.              Can I do this? if so, how? I would expect to put the recovery partition       on a separate DVD. I don't want to save any data files or excess       programs (only the OS less the advertising programs).              Can I recover the OS with just the recovery dvd from the recovery partition?              John              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
